Cold, damp, dark -- not to be missed

Caves riddle our island deep below the earth’s surface. Go on a subterranean adventure to explore these natural wonders.

Centuries ago, two boys searching for their cricket ball discovered dramatic underground cave formations. Now visitors can follow the boys’ footsteps by heading underground. Their cricket ball remains missing.

Crystal Caves

Located 36.6M / 120FT underground, Crystal Caves is one of the largest cave systems on our island. Its dramatic stalactites and stalagmites will astonish and inspire. Walk the pontoon bridge across underground Cahow Lake, sporting a crystal clear depth of 17M / 55FT.

Fantasy Cave

Next door to the Crystal Caves, Fantasy Cave opened as a show cave in 1914 only to close its doors around WWII. Open once again, you will experience a much more challenging climb down into the cave — just be prepared for the steep climb back to the top. Tours begin with a walk through the park linking the two caves.
