Port Royal is currently closed for renovations and is due to be reopened in January 2009. At 37 years old, the fabric of the course, (tees, fairways, bunkers and greens) will undertake a major renovation to improve its playability. The layout of the course will be lengthened from 6561yards to 6757 yards. The new layout will have little change as far as design is concerned apart from two holes number 12 and 13 which will be reversed to a par 4 and 3 respectively.
